I understand what people mean when they say you BLINK and your kids will be grown up. This weekend was so action packed and passed so quickly, I can’t recall much of anything. But some things I know today. Good friends help slow it down. My boys will soon be asking to borrow the car. And sand brings us all together.
I may complain about never getting to sit down or rest at the beach… but I realized today, I am TOTALLY at fault. I can’t seem to sit and watch sand castle making or ditch digging or even blog tag. I am ALWAYS participating. And I think it’s because I missed out on the kid stuff when I was a kid busy trying to fill my mother’s shoes and make my Dad proud. So now, I get my dose with a side order of exhaustion. Thanks Jack and Boe for giving me my childhood back.
